press and television figures together would ultimately spawn Germany’s most prestigious media prize? The trophy ‘HORZU’, has now distinguished 542 stars from Germany and beyond for their outstanding achievements. For many of these gifted men and woman, winning the Golden Camera was like receiving an industry knighthood.
Joan Collins arrived at the German Television Media Awards ceremony in Berlin on February 9th to present one of these remarkable trophies. This
coveted film and television prize is sponsored by Europe’s largest weekly TV guide.
The Golden Camera exclusively celebrates those individuals who have demonstrated the ability - through their outstanding work - to make a lasting impression on their audiences. As a former winner of
this prestigious accolade in 1999 for Dynasty, Joan was delighted to be able to present an award at the 40th anniversary of the Golden Camera. Presenters and former winners included Jerry Lewis, Goldie Hawn, Bruce Willis and Dustin Hoffman.
